I really am feeling kind of guilty that I haven't posted and everyday I remind myself that I need to. Our kids are growing up so fast and it has really been on my mind lately as to whether or not another baby is in the cards for us. I know ultimately it's up to God, but I have a say right? With that aside Kade is getting so tall and doing almost everything on his own. It really is bittersweet. He's getting ready to turn 4 on May 12th so I have kinda been starting to plan a little get together with all of the people that matter to us and especially to him. This spring has also been a milestone for Kade because he has learned how to ride his own bike. Him and Jared go on about 3 or 4 short bike rides a week and I am so thankful that Jared taught him because I personally have no desire to. I'm not cut out for things like that.
Recently Jared has taken up Mountain biking and I also just bought a bike myself. It gets me super excited that we will be able to do so many family things with our children. Since Taylor however cannot ride a bike we got one of those pull along trailers for her to be able to sit in. I think she likes it.
It's really important to me to do family things that my kids will remember and be enriching to all of us. Biking will definitely be a great bonding time for us and our kids. I'm looking forward to that.
Now onto Taylor! You know, these all could have been separate posts, but I thought I could bang them all out in one. Now this little Miss (which is what I call her for some reason) is getting big herself. It's been so wonderful that ever since we pulled the kids out of daycare she hasn't had an ear infection since Jan. 21st. I am so thrilled. She had one for 5 months straight and it was exhausting and my heart broke for her. She is talking so much and I love it. She says things like "hold me", "me do it", "cereal", "chap stick", "Stand up Mom" or "Sit down Mom", she's very bossy. Ha! She loves chaps tick and band aids and loves showing everyone her "Owies". She feels new to me everyday. I can't get enough of her.
As far as I go, I went back to school this semester to finish my Bachelor's in Communications. I have found out that I am not the type of person to start something and not finish it, which is a good thing I think. Or that is my OCD that drives me to feel like things aren't complete and they should be. I have a lot of credits, and finishing my degree has always been on my mind so I took the leap. I am only taking a couple classes at a time so I don't overwhelm myself with work, and family life. It really has worked out and I am so glad. I feel like I have made a lot of changes within myself as far as working towards finishing school, working on some personal things involving religion, I have also been doing Zumba as much as my schedule allows me to each week for the last couple months, which I am enjoying very much. I feel like I am growing in a lot of ways. I am very thankful for everything I have learned so far this year and thankful for my children and my husband more than words can express. I love going home each day and really try and enjoy the simple things.
Some pics of the last couple of months.
We're so ready for summer so we can swim!!!!
Oh you have the sweetest little family. You sound happy and excited about life. You are a good mom I can tell and a little bird has told me all about you as a mom and wife. That little bird LOVES you so much and is happy you are her daughter in law. Thanks for the up-date it is really the only way I get to see you. Take care and come see us in Vernal sometime. We would love it.
ReplyDeleteI love that you guys got bikes and can go for family rides! Can't wait till we can do that! Your babies are so big already and it looks like they really love each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you doing now instead of daycare? We are just starting the chronic ear infection stage... I have no idea how you guys handled it 5 months straight! Poor baby!
I also think its awesome you are finishing your degree! I know its hard when you work and have a family (Brian is back in school too) but it will be so worth it!! I'm so proud of you! Love you amigotcha!
Hi Amiga! I hired a girl to come over and watch the kids, it's amazing. I pray so hard that she continues to want to do it. My kids are in their own environment and don't have to rush out the door every morning.
DeleteThank you for the comment on my degree. It can be stressful at times and I do have my breaking points, but I just let it all out, refocus and keep going. Your right, it will be all worth it. I need to get your # so I can call you sometime and catch up. I miss you very much and never ever forget all my wonderful memories with you as a little girl when life was so easy. I loved staying with you and your family. I'm so grateful we have reconnected and we can see what is going on in eachother's lives. I love you too Amigotcha!!!!
