Random activities

We have been trying to kill some time each day waiting for the weather to warm up so we can go swimming, lay by the pool, and welcome this baby growing inside my womb.  I can't wait until she gets here.  I recently bought Taylor a big girl bed from Pottery Barn, which I am absolutely obsessed with.  I also went through all of Taylor's things in her room and got rid of clothes and boxed clothes that I know will fit the baby when she is older.  I still have some things to finish in her room, but I have been so tired I don't ever have the ambition to get in and finish the things that need to be done.  Here are some pictures of what we have been up to the last couple of weeks or so.

Easter Sunday

*3/30/2013*
This Easter Sunday we had a great time with family and friends.  A couple of days before Easter we went over to Megan and Chris' and had spaghetti and let the kids do eggs.  I think sometimes we have more fun doing it than the kids do.  Needless to say we got all our eggs colored for the festivities to come.
On Saturday the 29th we went to our friends parents house out in Angustura, towards Blanco.  The kids did an Easter egg hunt, we had pizza, and yummy cupcakes, and there was even some horses to look at.  Linda Rae's mom was so sweet to have gotten all the kids little gifts and mini baskets.  It was so fun for all of us.  The adults even  got to have a little fun and played cards.
The next day we headed to church and then Megan and Chris' for lunch, which was delicious and then we went back to our house for about an hour and I made a veggie tray to go over to Sugars.  I love going over to Sugars.  She has such a big house with lots of entertainment for the kids and she is very generous with all of her things.  It is always nice to visit with everyone.  My mom even came along with us, which was great.  I love being with family more than anything and I can honestly say that I love being around my family and really love the family that I have married in to.  Holidays are truly always a treat.

Soccer

Kade has been progressing in soccer and let me tell you, it is so fun to watch him play.  Sometimes he seems tired and doesn't give it his all, then I have a little pep talk and you should see him go.  He has scored two goals so far this season and I am one proud mom when that happens.  It is the funniest thing seeing those kids play, I just love going to all his games.  I had to miss one last week because Taylor was sick with the stomach bug and of course it was the game in which he scored his first goal, but oh well, I got to see a repeat of it this weekend.  The season is almost over.  I think he only has one or two more games left and then it's on to baseball.  I haven't decided if Kade will play soccer in the fall, but I kind of want him to.  I will leave it up to him.  I heard soccer in the fall is much more organized which would be nice.  I want to keep him active in sports so he doesn't have much time to be lazy or get in any type of trouble when he is older.  Sports is a great thing, and keeping him busy will keep him nice and active.  Can't wait for baseball season to start next.
