Update 2013

It has again been forever since I have blogged.  I kick myself if the butt all the times that I sit on my rump in front of the television instead of documenting my kids' lives so they can go back and have something to look at.  Needless to say a lot has happened since my last post.  Here is a sum up of what 2013 has brought us.
1. We are expecting another daughter at the end of July.  We are so excited.  I cried when the lady told us it was a girl.  (I will have a separate post for this later)
2. Kade is thriving in preschool.  He has now started reading workbooks.  To be honest, I am not too sure what that means, because I haven't seen any yet, but I am assuming it is a pretty big deal.
3. Kade started Soccer and just started  baseball yesterday.  It's going to be a juggling act for a while with him doing both, but soccer finishes at the end of April.  Jared is also an assistant coach for his baseball team and I seriously couldn't be more excited.  I look forward to all the games me and my girls will go to, to watch dad and brother rock it out.  The team is called "Little Monsters" and his soccer team is called "The squirrels".  I will also be posting more on this later.
4. Taylor is growing like a weed and just the other day I told Jared how tall she is getting and thinning out.  She is going to be so tall, I love this.
5. Taylor wants nothing more right now then to have long hair.  I think she looks at my hair and wishes hers was just as long.  She walks around the house sometimes with her hair down and tells me and Jared her hair is long.  It is the cutest.
6. Taylor started Gymnastics last week and I couldn't be more excited for her.  She did so great the first class.  She payed attention and honestly I thought that it seemed like second nature to her.  I look forward to all her gymnastics and dance she will do.  Hopefully her sister will follow in her footsteps and if she doesn't then that is fine too.
7. We have been or shall I say I; I have been obsessed with redoing my living room and the kids' rooms before baby gets here.  We got some amazing comfortable couches and this has made me want to get a new rug, curtains, wall decor, ect.  We are also in the process of getting Taylor a new big girl bed.  Her and the baby are going to share a room, so I am really excited about doing their room and I also think Kade's room needs a revamp.  Very soon, maybe this weekend I have a strong urge to go through both my kids' clothes and rid of anything that doesn't fit.  I also want to rearrange Taylor's closet, since her and her sister will be sharing.
My life feels really good, in a good place.  I haven't been as worried about my usual, or else I have been managing it pretty good.  I have seemed to get a little better grip on Kade's allergies and for now haven't had to put him on any medicine for them which I hate doing.  I am so grateful for my marriage to Jared, he is my love, and without him I feel lost.  All of my babies are healthy and so are Jared and I.  There is nothing more important in this life than health and happiness.  I am grateful most for those two things each and everyday.  I thank God and ask him to continue to grant us health and happiness on a daily basis.  I have great friends and I am learning more and more about myself, and realizing I am stronger than I think.  Life is good!

Shenanigans

~Shananigans~

KADE
*Kade is super bummed the weather is getting cold because he still wants to go swimming
*He started preschool in August and quickly has made friends.  His two best friends are Tanner and Griffin and every time I pick him up they all give hugs and wave goodbye
*Always makes me stop and look at the parrots in the class before we leave school
*Is recently obsessed with silly bands because his two new friends have them
*Secretly listens to all my conversations and inquires about what I was talking about each time I get off the phone.  Silly boy
*Is way too mature for his age
*Asks me every.single.day if he can get a dog
*Loves his cousin Jack so much
*Still is loving to wrestle his dad and me as well, I'm just not cut out for it though
*Is still my good vegetable eater and will try anything
*Loads up his backpack with random things and has to take it wherever we go
*Doesn't enjoy hugging on me very much, and it really makes me sad
*Gets either super bummed or super mad if his sister won't give him a kiss
*Gets extremely hyper when the vacum starts and always gets in trouble for it
*Always ask me if we can make brushing his teeth, fast
*Gets distracted easily
*Asks me to tell him to "Light up the room" and flashes his gorgeous smile.  I really don't know where he got it from
*Pretends he can read and makes up a story from the pictures (He's actually really good at it), so when I need some time, I always ask him to read his sister a book
*Quickly learned how to spell his name (The way he does the E is says "to the stop sign and around the corner)
*Made a sign recently that does not allow little girls or little boys in his room and used like 7 pieces of tape to hang it up
I love him more than anything and I am so grateful to have been given a little boy that is extremely compassionate, smart, caring, handsome, and healthy

TAYLOR
*Naughtiest little girl I know
*She literally destroys everything we give her.  Chap stick, crayons, walls, our couch, her food, coloring books, papers, everything
*Loves to dance and shake her little booty, it's the cutest thing ever
*Loves for me to rock her to sleep and sing her lullabies and 1/3 into the song, she shhh's me and finishes the song herself
*She is extremely silly
*Cries over everything when she doesn't get her way
*Insists on band aids at the slightest sign of a scratch
*When she wants something, she wants it right now (Just like her mommy)
*Calls me mom and Jared Daddy
*Calls Jared, Jared sometimes and he gets a kick out of it
*Can get to a game on my phone with ease
*Thinks when she has to poop it's pee too, so we never know what we're gonna get
*Does not like to watch TV
*Begs to sleep with Kade every night and crawls into bed with him so we can't find her
*Is extremely ticklish
*Knows her ABC's, but almost always forgets w,x,y, and z
*Counts 1,3,5,8,9,10,11 when no one is helping her
*The only good way to brush her teeth is to sing Ariel (Ahhahhh, ahhhahhh) or tell her we need to see the worms in her teeth.  Don't ask me where or why I started that, but it always worked with my Kadders

Although she is super naughty, we wouldn't have her ANY.OTHER.WAY.  She's the best!!!
 I LOVE MY KIDS

Taylor's second birthday

(August 9th)
My little girl is now 2.  We decided to do her party on the actual day of her birthday this year. In my mind, it just feels more special.  Now that Taylor is 2 and can talk pretty well in my opinion she told us she wanted a princess party, which was great by me, because I didn't have to think of a theme or colors or none of that.  She also told us she wanted to swim when I gave her the options of what type of party she could have.  So we had a swim princess party with pizza, salad, fruit, and cupcakes.  I could tell she felt very special.  The whole day of her birthday I made sure to let her know she was the princess of the day.  I took her out to lunch even before the party that afternoon and told all the waiters it was her day so that everyone would tell my girl "Happy Birthday".  After a while and a week or so after her day she wished everyone happy birthday; it was so adorable.  She still to this day says "It's my Birthday" in her little tiny voice.
Taylor got a ton of great toys, jammies, shoes, hair bows, and much more.  She loved everything.  Jared and I were undecided what to get her, but a few weeks prior to her party I had seen a pink princess four wheeler at Target and every time I would go back to the store I would make sure it was still there.  So, the night before her party we had to go to Target and we went with that gift.  We also got her some coloring books with stickers inside, she loves that.  It was so crazy to me that we celebrated Kade's birthday at Jared's parents house when he was 2 and I was pregnant with Taylor, so the whole time at her party I had to pinch myself and remember that we were now there to celebrate Taylor's 2nd birthday.  Insane how fast time goes by.  Makes me want to cherish every moment and when I get caught up on nonsense with anything in life I start thinking about all that I am grateful for and all that other junk disappears.  I hope my children will remember to do the same.  We are so grateful that she had everyone around her that loves her very much and that we all love as well.

Our Sweet Girl!!! Hope being two brings you all the happiness!!
