Brother and Sister

Every since I found out I was pregnant with Taylor I couldn't wait to see the relationship that would develop with her and Kade. I now see how these two interact and it is so great to sit back and watch them. They are typical brother and sister, but there are moments when you can see all the love in the world between my babies. I encourage them often to be nice to each other and tell Kade that he always needs to protect his sister no matter what, and when Taylor can understand more I will tell her the same thing. I see so many families break up for so many reasons and I pray that my kids will always have each other's back. I figure that if I instill this lesson in them at such a young age, then they will know no other way to be with each other.

Of course they fight and I see devious little things they each do to one another, but at the end of the day if they can still want to kiss each other good night then I know I'm doing something right. Once again, I love my babies more than words could ever describe.

My sweet boy is getting so big. I wanted to recap on him before he turns 4. Whattt? 4 no this can't be. I don't like it one bit. I notice more and more he doesn't want to cuddle or just be held, he's so big now and would rather be doing things then sitting with me letting me hold him. It's been one of the biggest pleasures seeing him grow, but I long for him to be a baby again. I want to freeze time and have my life be just as it is now. I can't do that though, so I try and remind myself to cherish every little moment. I truly do. I take a mental picture each time he needs me or he kisses me for no reason or he asks me to lay with him. He was my first born and made me a mom and I love him more than anything. I see so many things for my Kadders. I hope all my wishful thinking and praying for all the blessings I hope he has in his life come true, but above all I just want Kade to always know he is loved unconditionally and that his dad and I are always there for him no matter what.

My Beautiful Daughter

My beautiful little girl is getting so big. I can't even begin to think of any words that could describe what a blessing she has been to our family. She brings incredible amounts of joy to all our lives and she is my everything. She has been up to so much lately, I don't even know where to begin. I feel so terrible that I haven't done any updates on her, so I'm getting on the ball.

She is 17 months on the 9th of Jan.

Weighs 23 lbs.

She has been walking since she turned 1 and now runs all over the house.

She is a picky eater and the only Veggies I can get her to eat are the Organic squeeze kind that are mixed with fruit. Loves oranges, spaghetti, cheese, oatmeal, animal cookies, vanilla waffers, lasagna, and some.

She is starting to talk so much. Her most used words are Mom, Dad, Yea, Hi, Bye, Hot dog, nan for (Banana).

She loves her brother, but is sure Ornery with him as times

She loves pushing around her shopping cart

Loves carrying her purse like a big girl

Still likes her Binky, but we are down to her just having it for Sleep time

Sleeps 11-12 hours a night

Hits a little, and we get mad and then she gives us the pout, so cute and sad all at once

Loves to doodle on paper with crayons

Loves books, Loves books

Loves to show us her tummy and laughs

Still a little stingy with her kisses, but we feel special when we get them

Knows all her body parts

Follows directions extremely well

Loves for us to clap and say "YAY" when she does something grand like flush the toilet or throw something in the trash.

I could go on and on, but these are some of the most obvious things she does that we find endearing.

Taylor suffers from Chronic ear infections. I have had her blessed, taken her to the chiropractor, tried natural oils, cut sugars from her diet at times, limited juice or not given at all, taken her to see 5 different doctors all to avoid tubes, but it looks like that might be the resort we have to take. I just want my baby to feel better. It has caused me so much worry, stress and sleepless nights. I have prayed my heart out for her to be better and prayed that it hasn't affected her language development or her equilibrium. I know that whatever we decide it will be with careful planning and a lot of love and she will be just fine. I love her so much and I never want her to have to suffer and its been hard to sit back and watch it with her ear.

She is one of the best things that has ever and will ever happen to me. She is so loved!!!!

New Years 2012

Happy New Year!!!!

This year we opted to stay in and have some of our besties come join us. I made Frito Pie, Salsa and Queso and everyone else brought some goodies along. We played games, danced and just caught up. It was a happy tearful celebration for many reasons and we are so happy we got to be with our best friends. We missed the friends that couldn't join us, but it was still a blast. I got to give Kade the first New Years kiss and then my Jared. Taylor was out cold at 8, but I still went into her room and loved on her. I love my family more than everything and I am so thankful for my life and ALL the people in it. I cheers to last year and hope 2012 can be a spectacular one just like 2011. I look at the past with happiness and only look forward with a positive attitude. I wish everyone blessings, love, happiness, and health. I guess if I had to pick a New Years resolution it would be to be more punctual, not be so uptight and not take things personal. I think that sounds good! What are your New Years resolutions?

Random Christmas 2011 Shots

Wow, what a year it has been. So many great things have happened and not so many great things, but overall life is good. Christmas was so wonderful this year. First off, I wasn't sick. I think I have been ill the last 3 or 4 years on Christmas, either with the Flu or pregnancy sickness.

We did things a little bit different this year. Instead of waking up and going straight to Jared's parents for breakfast after we opened our gifts we just stayed home and opened gifts at our leisure and I made a big breakfast. Kade was so excited when he woke up, he couldn't believe all the presents that Santa had left. He immediately came and got me out of the shower to begin opening presents. I sadly didn't get many photos because Jared filmed the whole thing, and I was caught up in helping the kids. My mom came over at 8:15 and spent the whole time with us, which was awesome. I loved every minute of it. I made pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon.

After we got all cleaned up we headed to Jared's moms at 2 for a big dinner and more opening of gifts. My kids got so much this year that I have had to go through their rooms and take out toys that they no longer play with. We are all very thankful for everything we received. We have such wonderful people in our lives. It was a great day at Jared's moms. The food was delicious, there was lots of friendly faces and the kids had a great time. My mom joined us over there as well which made my day even lovelier.

Christmas Eve

Jared and I started a new tradition this year and it went off without a hitch. We did a big Mexican dinner with all our close friends we consider family and our family. I had so much help with all the food. All I made was the Salsa and the enchiladas. We had Posole, tamales, enchiladas, Mexican casserole, biscochitos and more. Almost everyone we invited stopped by. We worked really hard at preparing for it and I was so pleased at how great things went. We love our friends and family more than anything and we appreciate them being in our lives more then they will ever know. I got most pictures of the groups of families that stopped in, except for Meg and Chris Peterson, My mom and Debbie because they came late, Grandma Cella, My brother in law Jordan, Christy and Clay Jaqua, Wendi and Jody, Lana, Heath, Angela and Nevaeh Cates, and Karie and her date Micheal. I'm so bummed about it, but I guess they either came later in the night or I got distracted. I will do better next year. All in all, successful new tradition.

Christmas

I am loving the holiday season and loving it even more now that Kade is getting the hang of this whole Santa and Elves thing as well. We put up our decorations in the house and each year I acquire more and more items, which is also getting fun, but Jared didn't do lights this year. We were out of town the first couple weekends this month and we just both agreed we will go a little further with it next year to make up for not putting any up this year. I want my kids to always remember Christmas and any holiday for that matter to be all about family, happiness and the celebration of things.

With that said I purchased the Elf on a Shelf in hopes that it would bring more cheer into our home and pump my little guy up more and more. So far Kade just gets a kick out of everything Boo does. I named him boo, because he is always popping up everywhere and it just kinda stuck. We love our little elf, but I will say it hasn't affected Kade's behavior too much, but from time to time I will throw in that boo is watching and things do kinda settle down. Oh how I love Christmas and I still have a billion memories in my heart from when I was a little girl. I try and pull those moments that were special to me and add to that to hopefully make my children's Christmas just as special or more. Happy Holidays everyone! Tis the Season!!!!

I have been a bad blogger lately, but it has been hard to find the time. We have been fairly busy with going out of town the last couple of weekends and getting ready for the holidays. I expect us to be busy into January. Here are some random pictures of my kiddos!! I love them so much and they are truly the best blessings in my life. They make me smile each day more than a dozen times and I can't get enough of them. So thankful to God.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we did something that we have never done. We went to Las Vegas, NV. We went for a couple reasons, but the main reason was because Jared's paternal grandparents live in Henderson and when Jared's mom told us to go along with them I didn't hesitate one bit since my brother lives out there as well. I haven't spent a holiday with my brother in about 17 years. I know, it's sad. Very sad. SO with that said I asked my mom to come along so I could be with the both of them. I remember at one point we were posing for a photo and it took everything I had to fight back the tears. I miss when I was little and had no worries and was protected by my parents and had my brother around.

We love having my mom come along on trips with us because she is a blast and a great help with our kiddos. It was a nice day being with Jared's immediate family and mine all together. We went to a restaurant which isn't our usual and it was dreadful in the fact that we waited in line for almost 4 hours to eat, it was crazy, but we made the best of it by acknowledging that we were with our family no matter what. The next few days we spent shopping, shopping, shopping. I got lots of good stuff and we got some goodies for the kids that we might not have been able to find here in good ol' Farm town. I do vote that next year we eat a traditional Thanksgiving dinner though. I sure did miss lounging around afterwards and then going in for seconds and thirds. Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving day. Lots to be thankful for.

October flew for us, I honestly don't even know where it went. Halloween was a lot of fun for the kids this year, especially since they got to Trick or Treat 4 times. Once at my work, once at Jared's moms church, once at Kade's school and then the Trunk or Treat the church put on. We are not short on candy that's for sure. We had so much that the night of Halloween Jared and I went through all the candy when we got home and sorted out what we had too much of or just what we didn't like and gave it to the Trick or Treaters that stopped by our house. It was the perfect situation. I hate letting candy go bad.

Jared and I even got to have some Halloween fun. We got invited to a couple parties the weekend of Halloween so we put on our Vampire costumes that we had laying in the closet from a few years ago and made it work. It was pretty fun!

A few days before Halloween though we decided to have some of our chibuddies over and carve pumpkins like we have in the past and the kids painted their small pumpkins, which is always fun. I might start making a tradition out of it and throw some chilli on the stove.

I would be lying if I said I never feel guilty for being a working mother. It has been difficult to make a final decision when it comes to working or being a stay at home mom, but if I could choose in my perfect world I would wish to work part time and be with my kids the rest, but the way things work right now, my job calls for full time. I have weighed and outweighed all scenarios and had numerous talks with Jared and right now it's working out just fine for me to work. I can say that it doesn't take away from my job as a parent and my kids always and will always come first. I have basically come to the conclusion that for me personally working does not make me a bad parent, it makes me a better parent. With all that said I try and find special little things I can do with my kids that I would normally do if I stayed home during the day like small craft projects (more on this later) going to the park, doing a picnic, going to reading time at the library, walking the museum, and other fun things kids like to do. Hopefully my babies will remember their childhood as being able to do it all even though I worked.

Today we went to the Library and got Kade his own card so he can check books out and maybe attend a movie or craft day from time to time.

Our trip to the library was so much fun, Kade felt like such a big kid and Taylor was Dora the Explorer with all the neat things she was seeing.

Vegas....Again!

August 23-26

This past weekend Jared and I went on a couples weekend to Vegas. I was so nervous to leave my kids as any mother I'm sure is, but my mom and Jared's mom pitched in and I was fine away from my little munchkins. We had such a great time. Although I love my children more than words can describe, I do have to say that it was a big treat to just worry about myself for a few days. I got to sleep in, treat myself to a massage and be with my hunny bunny Jared. We so needed a weekend to ourselves. Jared was so sweet all weekend making sure I was happy with plans and making sure he took me to do whatever I wanted.

Day 1:

We arrived at the hotel and decided to walk over to the outlet mall that was near and do some shopping and then headed back to the room to get Vegas Strip ready. We went gambling for a bit and did dinner with our friends, then we all went to a club called Tryst that was awesome. I was a little tired this night and I think Jared got worried I was going to be a bum all weekend, but I think I was just tired from getting everything situated with the kids, packing and just trying to get out of town. I was ready to call it a night at 2am. (That's still hella late though, right?)

Day 2:

Jared dropped me off at Fashion Show Mall while he went and gambled. I needed to get some accessories for my dress I had bought the day before. I managed to shop for 4 hours and it was awesome. You don't know how great it was to take my time and do whatever I wanted to do. It was great! I later met Jared back at the room to get ready for our night. That night was the best night. We started out going to dinner at Tao at 6pm (LOVED) and then we had the Beatles LOVE show, which surpassed my expectations by far. It was so wonderful I didn't want it to end. After that our friends Christy and Clay reserved a table at Moon at the Palms and we danced till 4:30 am. and I still wasn't ready to go, it was the time of my life. We had so much fun letting loose and getting down. I'm not really a fan of that show the Jersey Shore, in fact I have only seen like 10 minutes of an episode and hated it, but thought it was kinda cool DJ Pauly D was there getting down DJing. I like seeing people from TV.

After that we got a limo back to our room, got changed and headed to Denny's. We were all starved. Then to BED at 5:30am. I was a zombie. I believe we slept till 11 the next day.

Day 3:

We got up at headed to lunch and then Christy and I had a facial and a massage scheduled and you can imagine how wonderful and relaxing that all was after the long night we had. Later on that night Jared had made reservations at Delmonico's in the Venetian just him and I so we got ready and headed there. It was so nice to be on a proper date with just my husband and I, especially since we really didn't do a date night for our 6 year anniversary. I love him so much. It was delicious food and even better service. It was amazing. After dinner we headed to Madam Tussuad's Wax Museum which was so neat. I loved seeing what the celebrities looked like in real person. Some of those figures are so real, it's trippy. We finished the night gambling, which I of course lost and we headed home to be in bed by 1:30am. I was pooped. We slept till 8:15 the next morning. I felt very rested.

Day 4:

Go home day. Before we had to be at the airport at 4, Jared and I met up with my aunt and uncle from Mexico that happened to be there on the same weekend. We met them at the Sugar Factory for brunch and then my aunt and I headed to Sephora which was nice spending time with my mom's one and only sister. I love them very much! After we parted ways with them Jared and I decided we would play our luck one more time and try and win some of our money back and we had no such luck and no more money, LOL. Oh well, it was a blast anyway. We then needed to get the kiddos some treats back at Sugar Factory and the M&M store. After that it was time to make our way back to our hotel for a short nap and check out.

What a wonderful trip. I didn't get many pictures at all, but it was a great time and I am so thankful to my mom for staying at our house all weekend and also to Jared's mom for being a huge help as well. Couldn't have done it without them.

I love my babies more than anything and can't believe how fast their growing. I want to cherish every single moment with them. Here's a little update on what's been going on with us. I took Taylor to the doctor last week because she has had this cold that was lingering and starting to keep her up in the middle of the night so I thought I would take her since Jared and I were headed to Vegas this past weekend, and thank God I did because my little Sugar has a double ear infection. I never even knew it. She'll be better now though with her medicine. As for Kade he's doing awesome as ever and had a wonderful time being with his Nena (My mom) all weekend while we were gone. I was very nervous to leave my babies, but I knew that they were in good hands. Looking forward to sharing our Vegas trip. Oh, I got my necklace 2 days before we went to Vegas, just in time for when I left my babies and I was so pumped about it. It's perfect and I love it and I love more than anything being a mom to my two sweet angels. Here's some random shots of my kids getting bigger and smarter by the days.

My recent Etsy purchase

I have always loved these necklaces and recently bought my girlfriend one for her birthday and see it on her all the time. I have been eyeing these for a while and finally decided I had to have one. I contemplated getting one with a pearl on it, since you know the saying "Mother Pearl" but when I saw this one I thought "Yes, definitely this one". I saw that some had separate circles for the names, but the representation of my kids' names being on the same circle meant to me that they were close and together and the heart over it to me means that they have my heart, that they are my heart. I also love the stamped look as well. Can't wait to get this in the mail, I don't think I will ever take it off. I think every mother should have one of these necklaces. So excited!

Labor Day

This past weekend we headed to Pagosa for Labor Day. We rented an 8 bedroom cabin with some friends of ours and glad we did it. We had such a wonderful time sleeping in, laughing over good times, playing cards, taking walks, hiking to a waterfall and just sitting around visiting. Glad I had no phone service so I could just let go and relax and slow down from the realities of life for a few days. My little Kadders had a temperature throughout the weekend, but when he had medicine in him he seemed fantastic, we knew it was probably a virus that needed to run it's course and with us just out in the middle of nowhere able to relax we all figured he would be doing the same thing at home so we might as well make a weekend out of it and stay. Glad we did!

As we were leaving the waterfall we ran into a girl I went to Junior High and High school with and she was with her boyfriend who happens to be an NBA Player that Jared likes to watch so Jared caught a photo with him. It was kinda neat. However we outed him to all the people at the waterfall, not sure if he was happy about that.

The last day we were in Pagosa our friend Christy told us about this farm about 5 miles out of town, so we all decided it would be fun to stop by there before heading home. The kids really liked it, and I'm happy we went. There was no one there so the lady rode around on her four wheeler and gave us a person show in feeding the animals so we were able to get really close to them.

Love is a splendid thing

Today my hubby and I celebrate 6 years of marriage. Each year I can't believe another one has flown on by. I'm so grateful for him and all the lessons we have learned as a married couple and I am so thankful he is the father of my babies. I love the life we have created together and I feel so blessed. I look forward to all the years ahead.

Baby Shower

August 27th

This past weekend my friend Jessie, and I hosted a beautiful baby shower for our shared bestie that we love so much. Megan is expecting mid October and even though she is having a girl again we thought it to be appropriate to throw a small, cute shower for her. We are so happy for her and her new baby coming.

Megan is one of my bestest friends in the whole world. She has been there for me through so much and we have been in each others lives for all the births of the children we have. I am so excited for her and Chris and looking forward to seeing all the happiness that is in store for them.

I am so thankful Jessie, Megan's mom Nancy, and my MIL Mari helped with the shower. I don't know what I would have done without them. Jessie had so many great ideas for Megan's shower, shoot she had all the ideas for that matter. I loved every minute of planning this shower and the company of all the beautiful, great girls that attended.

12 month Checkup

August 19th

Taylor had her 12 month checkup the other day and things looked good. She has a bit of a cold so I had the Dr. check into that, but everything that is going on with her, to me, seems like it all has to do with her 2 front teeth coming in. Dr. said she looks great, seems happy and said were doing a great job!

Stats:

Weight: 19 lbs 14 oz

Height: 28.5 inches

She walks, says mama, dada, dad, hi, no, and bubba. She has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth, loves her binky, waves hello recently, blows kisses, gives kisses (only when she wants to), sleeps from 8- 7 and sometimes goes back to bed till 8:30, just recently was weaned from nursing, loves bananas and yogurt, and let me tell you, this Girl knows what she wants. She is super sassy, but I love it. I know she will take care of herself out there in the world and being that she is a girl, I will take the attitude.

She is such a treasure and we love her more than we can ever describe. I look forward to so much with my beautiful daughter. She's absolutely, undeniably the BEST.

Taylor's first birthday party

August 13th

Taylor had her party August 13th and everything turned out great. I had been planning this party for a couple weeks, but worked really hard on it the 3 days leading up to it. I got sick within those 3 days which made it very hard, but everything turned out great and no one would have even known I was a sick person planning a party. Everything looks really simple and you wouldn't know that everything took so much preparation, but it did. However, she is completely worth it. I don't know if there will be anymore kids that we have so I was looking at it as my last first birthday party to be planning and my daughters first birthday so I wanted everything to be perfect in my eyes. I am so thankful for all the great friends and family we have that came and helped celebrate. We love you all!
I was so caught up in everything I didn't take a picture of the guests that attended or a beautiful picture of the food table. It looked great with all the yummy food people helped me with though.

August 9th

Even though we had a party planned for Taylor on the 13th we still decided to do some cake, ice cream, and presents at our house with our immediate family on the day of her birthday. She was such a showoff, I have never seen her this way but it filled my heart with so much happiness and such a feeling of proudness (if that's a word) that she feels so loved by everyone, you could just tell. Camping Trip

We went camping this past weekend in Mancos with a great group of people. It was Jared's parents, sisters, grandma, cousins, my mom and God mother and our good friend Tony and his parents. We had a blast. The men played horse shoes, we went on a few rides, sat around the camp fires, saw lots of beautiful deer, and did lots of laughing and eating. It was a great camping trip and sadly maybe our only camping trip this year. I don't know what it is with the summers, but just like everyone else we are extremely busy. So it was nice to slow life down, put away the blackberry's and the iPhones and have some relaxation of the peace and quiet. Looking forward to doing it again.

This month is filled with lots of birthdays. Jared's is July 9th, our Friend Kennedy's birthday is July 21st, Our friends Tony's little boys is the 23rd, and my birthday is the 27th. “Good fathers make good sons”

Last Tuesday night Jared decided he and Kade would have some Father, Son bonding. He took Kade to Turley where his uncle has some land with a river on it. The two headed to WalMart to get some worms, then Dairy Queen for some dinner and went straight to Fishing. They were gone from about 4:30 to 9:30. I tried calling a few times to see how everything was going and to make sure Kade was having fun and I never did get any answers. About 9:00 I got a call that they were headed in and they had a blast and learned that my baby had caught a fish all by himself with his Spiderman fishing pole. To top it off, it was bigger than Daddy's. I could hear Kade in the background with so much excitement in his voice that I stupidly got tears in my eyes. I couldn't wait to see their findings. As soon as they pulled up to the house I ran outside to snap some pictures because I thought this to be a special moment to document. "Kade's 1st Fishing Trip". So proud of the dad Jared is and all the "Man" things he will teach Kade. Things like this make it harder that my dad is not around because I have special memories of fishing with my pops. My dad would have really loved to take Kade fishing, but at least he is NEVER far from our hearts. So proud of my Hito for catching his first fish on his very first fishing trip. Love my boys!!! The next night Jared cooked the fish and the two boys proudly ate what they had caught, shoot I even tried it, not too bad, tasted like chicken.

California is where dreams come true

We took our annual family trip last week and it was so much fun. We flew into California Friday afternoon and stayed for 5 days. It was so nice to have my mom go along with us, she was such a big help and we loved having her. It was nice because Jared and I both had off work so we didn't hardly use any vacation time and still got an awesome trip in.

Day 1:

We flew into the airport and picked up our rental car and headed straight over to my cousin Jack's house to be with him and his family. It was nice because they live like 5 minutes from the airport and we were starved. We got to his house and my mom, Jared and Jack went around the corner and got some yummy Mexican style carne asada tacos and we devoured them. I miss real Mexican food! After visiting for a while we went to the Santa Monica Pier to walk around, had some ice cream and took some pictures. After that we were so pooped from traveling and hanging out we went to our hotel so that we could get some rest because we had lots of plans in mind for the next few days.

Day 2:

We headed to Hunington Beach after breakfast to lay out, play in the waves, and do some shopping and lunch. We had a wonderful time. It was so beautiful and I loved the smell of the ocean as we were walking up on it. I remember looking at everyone that lived there and checking out their ways, how they dressed, and what people did for a living in California. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I loved looking at my children's face as they stared at everyone in awe. Kade kept reminding me that everyone was half naked and I reminded him that we were at the beach and those were called swimsuits. LOL! He loved the ocean and I remember at one point getting chocked up because I thought "This is my baby girl's first time at the beach" and seeing her get to stick her feet in the sand and feel the ocean for the first time was absolutely priceless. She loved every minute of it. She didn't even flinch when we put her in the cold water. She is such a trooper and had such a good time. She would scream and giggle everytime a wave came and I couldn't believe how happy she was. She is going to be such a little daredevil just like her dad, scares the crap outta me. Kade is definitely more cautious like his mama.

After the beach and lunch we were all pooped so we went back to the hotel to take naps and get ready. Later on my Cousin Cindy, her husband Jerry and their 2 kids came to our hotel and we visited for a while and then we headed to an outdoor mall to shop and have dinner. The weather was incredible and everyone was so happy, it was perfect. Her daughter Dioney that is 8 ended up staying the night so she could go to Disneyland with us the next day and Kade was ecstatic. I can't believe how good Kade gets along with older kids, it just amazes me at how smart my little guy is; they had a blast together and I loved hearing Kade ask Dioney what her name was like 1200 times. So hilarious. He kept calling her Donay. LOL!!!

Day 3:

DISNEYLAND

Not gonna lie, I almost started to cry when we walked in. My thoughts were this: "My mom and dad had always taken me to Disneyland my whole life and now here I was with my mom taking MY two kids" It was an incredible feeling that no one will ever know I felt. Plus Jared had only been there once and didn't hardly remember it so that was also exciting. We had such an amazing time. Kade screamed when he saw Mickey and hugged Minnie mouse so much we had to pull him off. He was so happy. He loved the Buzz Light Mear ride (that is what he calls it), Toon Town, Pirates of the Caribbean, Churros, everything. Not one dull moment. A day to never be forgotten. Best part was that hardly anyone was there, deadest I have ever seen it. We waited no longer than 30 minutes per ride. We got almost everything we wanted to get in. We went home around 6:30 and got kids ready for bed, freshened up and my mom stayed with the kids so Jared and I could go back all by ourselves. It was the best date we have ever been on. I loved being there with just Jared. He didn't know I was a fan of scary rides and I sure showed him. We laughed so hard on Space Mountain and got soaked on Splash Mountain. We had the best time and by the end of the night, I could hardly even keep my eyes open. What a day!!!

Day 4:

We had intentions on doing Disney again the whole next day, but since we got so much in the day before we decided to hit up an outlet mall that was 30 minutes away and do Disney that night for the fireworks. We had a good time shopping, Jack and his family met up with us again to shop, then we headed to a little Mexican restaurant that was recommended by a local there in California and when we got there my mom realized that it was 2 blocks from where she grew up. It amazed all of us that out of all of California it was right by my moms old house where countless memories were made for her as a small child. I got a lot of history on my mom and loved finally putting a place to a story that I have always heard my whole life. It was so insane. I know we were meant to go there and I am so incredibly bummed and pissed at myself for not getting a picture of it. I have to go back to snap a photo of where she lived and where her school was. I love hearing about people's lives and how they came to where they are now. I understand now much more why my mom is so kick ass and laid back and I love her so much more now then I did. I appreciate her for her struggles, her heritage and what she has brought to me. I love her in countless ways.

After all that shenanigans we went back to the hotel to give the kids naps and don't let me fool you, I needed a darn nap myself. After freshening up we headed to Disneyland to find millions of people. We barely made it in time to find a spot to watch the fireworks and shortly after that we got a few rides in, some shopping and another CHURRO! Churros are special to me because they were a favorite of mine growing up in Mexico and always getting one in Disneyland. They remind me of so much from my childhood. We got home at Midnight and not 5 hours later we were getting up to head back to LAX for our flight. Thank God we made it home safely and everything worked out so perfect. All in all I wished I would have snapped more photos, but we had too much fun for me to constantly be worrying about my camera the whole time. We have countless memories in our minds and in our hearts.

I was briefly thinking on some posts that I failed to blog about and it occured to me that I have completed something slighty extraordinary and I am darn proud of myself and why hadn't I blogged about sooner is beyond me. Oh Crystal! Well as of June 24th I am now a Certified Foot Zoner. I have been taking classes for it since October 2010 and June 22nd thru the 25th I flew up to Montana with my baby Taylor in tow and graduated. It was something that I have been working hard on and I can finally zone my family and anyone else who needs it. It is such a gift to carry and I hope to help people! I have learned so much and still have lots to learn, but am looking forward to the journey I set forth on and look back with pride on the path I have already walked. Happy Zoning everyone!!

Wow, I have managed to not blog for a month, where does the time go. I guess it's time to recap the last month or so then.

We recently went to Vegas to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was a bonus because my brother lives there and my mom's sister Monica happened to be there from Mexico so it was a very mini family reunion. I haven't seen my brother since my dad's funeral and that is way too long (almost 2 years ago). I hate how life gets too busy to make the time to visit the one's you love the most. I vow to not let as much time go by that I see my Bro. We had a good time. Jared wasn't able to get the time off work so we packed up and went without him. The trip was fun, but tiring. It was interesting doing for the kids all alone on the trip, but I think I managed just fine. I had some help from time to time. Jared's younger sis Cam met me there from Utah to hang and help out with the kids and it was much appreciated. My mom was a great help on the way up there and back. (Yes we drove 8 hours with the kids).

We ate, shopped, went to the M&M factory, saw the lions at MGM, went to see the Lion King show, Swam, ate, visited and did a little shopping. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood and it was neat because there were a lot of celebrities in town for the Billboard Music Awards that were happening of course on the day we left. I saw that stupid girl from the Bachelor, Vienna (at first I couldn't think of her name and I kept saying "there's that sausage girl) at the shops in Planet Hollywood with her new love interest Casey that was on the bachelorette the following season and I also ran into Jerry Seinfield and Larry Miller (the bald dude off of Pretty Woman) at the forum shops in Cesar's Palace. It was a good time and I am very happy we went. Kade loved Las Begas!! ;)

My Girlfriend Elisha happened to be there from Phoenix the exact same weekend, we caught up together for lunch at Cesar's Palace. Love her so much, she is the biggest sweetheart.

We did Kade's party at the bounce place this year. It was nice because we didn't have to clean up and food was ordered for us and all. We are so happy for the people that came and are so thankful for them all coming out to celebrate our baby's third birthday. We love our friends and family so much! 9 Month Stats

My little sweetie is 9 months young! She is so amazing. I love her, love her, love her. She is crawling everywhere, waves hi and bye, has one tooth and another is getting ready to poke through. I love her chubby body, her funny smile, her silly silly moods she gets in, I love her little get angry grunts she makes, I love her need for feeding and how she wants me because I got the goods, I love that she is a mama's girl, and I love that she is non stop all the time. She is so much fun and I can tell her and I will be best friends always, she loves me so much and I love her so much more. Can't get enough!

Checkup went well, Dr. said I can START to wean her to almonds milk at 11 months. Ears look good, and growth is the same percentile. (She is FAB!! But I knew that ;) )

Being a Mother!!

Mothers day was such a wonderful day. Jared got the kids going so I could sleep in, we all got ready and went to church where my baby made me a sweet flower with his hand print on it (of course I cried), we went to brunch with our moms at the Riverwalk, then we had a dinner at my Sis in laws. It was a special day! Jared does a great job at making me feel loved!

Being a mother has been so rewarding. I love that feeling that I have every single day with my babies (you know the feeling you get when you have a new toy and you can't wait to play with it?) (or that feeling when you first are dating someone and the excitement of seeing them or talking to them is your very first thought when you first wake up, Lucky for me Jared still gives me that ;) ). I know lots of people don't like to be defined by things, but I do. I love that my kids define me as a MOTHER. I can never kiss them enough, tell them I love them enough or let them know each and everyday just how happy they make me. I know that God matched me up perfectly with such beautiful, special babies and I am so thankful to him everyday for that. I thank God every single day for giving me these two incredible little humans. I will never ever find the words it takes to describe how much I enjoy being their mommy and how much I love them. Not only do I love that I am a mommy, but I love my Mom as well. Her and I are so close and have such a close bond. I love my mother so much, and I know that God matched us up perfectly as well. Being a mother and having a close bond with my mother is so special and I am incredibly thankful to God for pairing me up so sweetly and perfectly with my Mom and my babies. Aren't we all just so lucky that there is a special day each year where we can really take the time to celebrate motherhood? Here's to being a Mom!

And a special thanks to my sweet husband who always tells me what a great job I do, I love him!

Easter

Easter was a blast this year. Kade is really starting to grasp the concepts of bunnies, and old fat men with red hats. We did a big Egg hunt at our good family friend Tony's house on Saturday since everyone else had more plans for Sunday and everyone brought food, eggs, and their good moods. It was a great time. Sunday was also a lot of fun. We went to Church which was lovely, lunch with my mom, and then we all 4 came home for a nap. Later that day we went to My in laws for a big dinner, there was about 40 people there; it was a blast, and the food was delicious. I was happy my mom came to join us over there. I love her so much!! It was a great weekend! I was very tired at the end of it though. But just to add a cherry on top of the funness my hito woke up at 1:30 AM that Monday morning saying he had spit up so I went to his room to find puke all over his bed. Poor guy was trying to clean it with a kleenex in the dark so I wouldn't be upset. (Man some people are going to think I must be a mean woman for him to be scared of that) He's just such a good boy! I cleaned him all up, got new bedding on only for him to puke all over it again 20 minutes later. He puked all night till the morning. I wish it had been me and not him. I immediately thought it was all the candy and junk he had from the weekend, but I am pretty sure he caught Tony's bug he had from the Thursday night before the hunt we went over to his house to color eggs. All in all we made it through that, Easter was fun and wonderful and I can't wait to do it again next year. Actually I am great with waiting to do it 12 months from now. LOL!

6 Month update

TAYLOR

My little sweetheart actually just turned 7 months, but I hadn't gotten to write about her 6 month checkup at the doctors. Here were her stats: (I'm pretty sure she has gained 2 lbs since then)

WEIGHT: 16.8 lbs (she was 17.2 but she had an ear infection and was hardly eating)

HEIGHT: 26.6 inches

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 42.6

She is doing so wonderful. She has had 2 ear infections in her right ear, but they gave me a higher dose of antibiotics the second time around. I felt terrible I didn't know, she showed no signs of fever with it and Kade always had.

She loves to nurse, eat cereal with fruit, veggies, and still has her cereal and another fruit before bed. Loves to sit up and play with her purse, loves to be tickled, likes her binky most of the time, still wakes up in the middle of the night to feed, takes wonderful 2 hr morning naps and not so good afternoon naps, goes to bed at 8, still not quite sure about bath time, and sure does lover her bubba (brother), but not when he kisses her too much, then she gets angry. I am getting a little anxious to start her on more human food, but I don't think she is quiet ready. She is such a happy little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She definitely completes our family. I am so blessed to have a son and a daughter. I wouldn't have it any other way. Love you my little chubbers, chica bonita!!! Your the greatest!

I recently came across these pictures of Kade and I had to talk about them. I didn't have my blog when Kade was a baby and now I feel the need to go back and post some important milestones in his life. Like any other mother looking back on her almost 3 year old's baby pictures, I have tears in my eyes. I realized just how much of a wonderful journey we have had with Kade and how much Joy he provides in our lives EVERYDAY. I love my boy more than words could ever describe. He is the best blessing God has ever given me. I look forward to seeing Kade become a Man, and one day a father. He is so amazing in every way and he is loved more than he will ever know, more than we will ever be able to express to him.

Snowman Makers

This winter has been weird, but then again Farmington, NM weather is weird. Or, maybe everywhere in the world weather is weird and I have only secluded myself mostly to here. Who knows. Well one day when we got snow, probably after a day it was really really sunny or something Jared took Kadders outside to make a snowman. It was super funny to watch because while Jared made the snowman Kade ran around the yard screaming and playing. I was on the porch barefoot trying to snap photos of the two, but it was difficult. I was too dang cold. All in all I don't think the snowman got a head because the snow wasn't sticking I guess or maybe Jared was just over it. LOL! Overall it was a great way to bond with his son and Kade loved every minute of it and looked super fantastic while doing so. I love my boys!

Christmas part III

Some captured moments at Jared's parents house. I wasn't feeling too good, I had the stomach bug. Eventually it went away for the big dinner we had at Leslee's that evening and I was very grateful for that. Nothing like feeling poopy on the most special day of the year. I sure did miss seeing my mom on Christmas, but overall it was a wonderful day. I love my family so much!For some reason Kade went crazy after everyone had opened their presents and he saw all the wrapping paper on the floor. Christmas 2010 Part II

The morning of Christmas we did our own thing instead of going straight over to Jared's parents house. Kade had so much fun and I think he is starting to get the concept of Santa and what Christmas is all about. We had a great time opening gifts as a family. Jared got me a kindle because I have recently taken up reading and now I can read wherever, I was so happy and Taylor got her first pair of diamond earrings that her daddy bought her all on his own. After opening presents at our house we went over to Jared's mom and dad's to do our gift exchange with his side of the family and then Mari and Anthony cooked up a wonderful breakfast. It was a fantastic day.

Jared wrapped all my Kindle accessories individually in a huge box. This was my smallest gift.

Christmas 2010 Part I

Christmas was so great this year. We spent Christmas with my mom and Family at my moms the weekend before because my Mom and Step dad were headed to Las Vegas to spend it with my brother Lane. It was so much fun. They had it catered, kids opened presents, and the adults did a white elephant gift exchange which is always so funny. My mom loved the magnet board and magnets I made her and the pictures of Taylor she got. My mom's new tradition is pajamas for all the grand kids, I am trying to seek out our own little family's traditions as well.

Recap

I have been a total slacker when it comes to my blog, but vow to be better. A lot has happened lately, but I haven't really had a reliable computer these days, but that will hopefully change soon. I thought I would pick up though in talking about Taylor's 4 Month Checkup and recap on what we have been up to the past few months. I know, I can't believe she is 4 months old already. Before I get into that though I want to recap on the last couple of months though starting with Halloween. Kade was a cute little dinosaur and is still wearing his costume. He walked around everywhere saying rarrrrrrrr!!! It was so cute. He was trying to scare everyone. We took him to the ConocoPhillips party at my work and he loved that.

Next was Thanksgiving, and we had a wonderful one. We did dinner at my mom's house first and then we headed over to Sugar's for another meal which is hard sometimes because we are always so full for the second dinner, but it was a fun day being will family. Sad thing is though I didn't get any pictures of that day.

Next, Jared and I went to Arizona a couple weekends ago to drop his Teryx off so he could get a new motor put in it and while we there we did lots of Christmas shopping and we were also lucky enough to have some friends come along and our mom's as well. They were a lot of help with the babies.

Also, I went back to work last week, but luckily only have to work part time. It was wonderful to be off for 4mos, but I am so lucky to have Jared's mom help me out with the kids because there is just no one else I would trust to watch my babies while I work.

We really are so blessed, and I am so thankful for it.

Stay at home Mom

Since about a week before I had Taylor I have gotten to stay home with my kids and I am really enjoying it. I thought when I was working 'what the heck will I do when I'm home, I will get so bored". Well quite the contrary! I try and have a routine each day so that my kids know what to expect and so that I don't pull my hair out. Everyday we wake up around 7 or 8 and I feed Taylor (usually Kade hasn't yet made it out of bed) then Kade comes out and wants to watch Dora or Diego so I put that on for him and make beds. Then I dress my kids and put Taylor down for a nap and feed Kade and I breakfast. Then Kade plays with his toys or watches another episode of toons while I hop in the shower and get ready. Then I have about 3 hours to do laundry, pay bills, blog, or go to lunch with a friend or run some errands then it's back to the house to do lunch and put Kade down for a nap usually around 1:30, then my hubby gets home and I get started on dinner. We eat, I clean the kitchen, bathe kids and put all of our pajamas on so we have a couple hours to hang out and watch TV or do whatever. My days fly by. I'm going to be very sad when I return to work, but I have lots of plans in store and I know God will guide my path. I love my babies and enjoy so much being with them everyday and am proud of the little routine we have down. I didn't realize that when you stay home you have to come up with activities to keep your kids minds growing and also keep them entertained. Plus mama needs her time too..... Here are some things the kids enjoy doing!

2 Month Checkup

Well the 2 Month checkup day was not my favorite. I ended up taking Kade for certain reasons and with him needing to go to the bathroom and Taylor screaming from hunger at the same time while the Dr. and I were attempting to have a conversation, I just knew this visit wasn't going to be pleasant. Taylor got 3 pokes which consisted of 5 shots and man she screamed her head off. She had also been having a lot of snot in her nose making it hard for her to breath and the Dr. told me to try some little noses or if I wanted I could make my own salt water and give her some drops at home. So we made it home and we had lunch and then I decided to put Kade in his room with a movie for nap time. Well I went to Taylor and gave her way too much water up her nose and she stopped breathing on me. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I sucked with the bulb every part of her nose and throat and she finally started breathing. It felt like an eternity that she wasn't breathing and I honestly couldn't tell you how long it was. She didn't turn blue, but she was pale from the shock of it all. I don't know if I could ever forgive myself for what I did. I cried all day after that happened and I think I cried before it even happened actually. I truly feel like the worst mother out there. I ended up calling 911 for them to come check her and they said she looked perfectly fine, but I was hysterical. It was me they were worried about. At one point when she wasn't breathing I thought it was the end, I know that sounds terrible, but I was terrified. I thought my life was over. I thought I had hurt my beautiful child and all I was trying to do was help her to breathe better so she could sleep.
I wasn't going to blog about this, but I thought maybe I can stop someone else from doing the same thing, but I'm positive no one is as stupid as I am. I am so glad my baby is ok. Her and Kade are my life. Without them I could not live. And my great husband was so sweet and has made me feel better about what I did, but there is no excuse for making me feel better, what I did was the worst thing ever. I guess by me writing about it is a way for me to confess that I am not perfect as a mother or at anything else. I know now though that I will not do anything to my children unless I am 100% sure what I am doing.

SPLASH SPLASH!

I love it when we get invited to birthday parties because they are always so much fun and a great chance for Kade to have some play time. Our friends had a celebration for their two year old son and it was a lot of fun. They had it at a splash pad close to downtown and Kade was a little shy with the water at first, but then after that it was no big deal. Kade is the type that has to warm up to the idea of anything or anyone and then he is good to go. I loved getting these images of him. Jared unfortunately had to miss coming with us because he is scouting with his dad for Elk, but my motherinlaw came along and helped me like she ALWAYS does with my kids. Thanks Mari, your so wonderful. She handled Taylor while I made it all about Kadders. Thanks Jessie for inviting us, you know how to throw a party.....

Kade is such an amazing little boy, and many would think of course I think this because he is my son. Well it's not just that. He really is such a very sweet soul and I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing little boy. He gives me more life than I ever thought I could have. I literally thank God everyday for him and never take him for granted. He is so funny, incredibly smart, very loving, and did I mention smart and loving? Anyone that knows Kade knows this about him. I just love him and that word "Love" does not even describe how I feel about him. He's my best friend. I can talk to him just as he was an adult and he understands so much. I can't wait to see how much more our relationship grows as he goes through each stage of his life. I hope one day he finds a beautiful, loving and kind soul as a partner and also a girl that loves to have his mommy around, because I can't ever imagine not being extremely close to Kade. He is my life!!!!

Kade is always hungry before bed and he didn't make it very far on his quesadilla last night before my little guy crashed! He makes me chuckle.

Well there hasn't been anything to much to update on other than the many appointments we have had recently and Jared has been in hunting mode these days assisting his friend and dad in the scouting processes. So Kade did something pretty naughty the other night, but I can't be too mad because it was pretty much my fault. We were visiting with the missionaries the other night and I had just painted my nails a dark brown and Kade came and grabbed the polish out of my hand and I didn't even think twice about it and actually kinda remember thinking he wouldn't be able to open the bottle because it's even hard for me to open the darn thing, but he got it open and all over his carpet, his nice pottery barn chair my mom had gotten him and ruined a home made blanket from a family friend. Jared was not happy, nor was I, but I couldn't tell Jared what my thought process was when he took the polish from me. Jared put about an hour of elbow grease into the carpet and got most of it out. The trick he looked up online was Windex believe it or not. It took the polish out, but what Jared forgot to read was that it left your carpet blue. So the next day we used our other trick of spraying Resolve on it and topping it off with baking soda to vacum it up after it dried. It looks a lot better, but not what it once was. Kade got lucky though because he got to sleep with us (the fumes were horrible in his room) and he's lucky we had company when this little incident happened because it saved his little hiney. I wouldn't have let him get in trouble though because it was all my fault. ;). I even had a lady from Carpet One come over to give me an estimate of $650, I thought heck no I will just leave it, he will probably do it again. Other than that we have been just trying to get Taylor on a good schedule and some days are wonderful and some are hard, it goes back and forth. I have to remember she is still only 6 weeks old so it may take a little longer. Kade is adjusting well to school and I'm loving being off work. Till next time!

Labor Day fun!!!

Over Labor day Jared and I took the kids to Albuquerque for some fun and shopping. I was a little nervous now having two kids, but we were sidekicks and worked great as a team. I loved everything about that weekend with my little family of 4. It was great! We did an arcade, the Zoo and the Aquarium (Kade kept calling it the other Zoo). Taylor was easy and Kade loved the Zoo with a capital L. He was so sweet and watching him admire the animals and talk about them after we left for days was funny.

That weekend was also a little celebration of our 5 year anniversary. As a gift I got a new wedding ring, and it is perfect. We had fun looking for it and I loved that Jared was into helping pick it. He was very sweet and with his help I got a great ring. So happy anniversary baby, I love you so much and I look foward to the rest of my life with you and beyond. I don't know what I would do without Jared. He is so fun and so handsome, he is absolutely without a doubt the love of my life.

I got newborn pictures of my little precious girl taken about 3 or 4 weeks ago and have taken forever to get them on my blog, but I am so excited to have them. I love them. I wish we could have gotten more, but Taylor was awake and kinda in a mood so it was a little or a lot more difficult than I thought it was going to be, but the ones we did get were great. Thanks Jessica!

Our little darling had her 2 week checkup on 8/23/2010 in Durango where we take her and she surprised us alright. Her weight at birth was 6lbs. 15 oz. and then when we took her in 4 days later her weight was 6lbs. 13 oz. but when we took her in just 10 days later she was at 8lbs. 2 oz. I was surprised a little, but then again not too much because I knew she was eating well since I had already been to the store twice for diapers.

So far we are almost at 3 weeks with our missy and we couldn't be happier. I feel wonderful mentally and physically. I was a little concerned I was going to have anxiety about things, but something awesome has happened and I don't. She is a good baby and Kade is adjusting well. I am very blessed with my two babies. Kade is talking so much these days, it blows my mind. He is so intelligent and so handsome. I often wonder what I did to deserve so a beautiful family. So now we wait for Taylor's 2 month checkup where she gets her shots. I will be a little bit more at ease when she does and take her more places and actually take her out of her car seat. 5 more weeks of more hibernation till we get this girl some more added protection with vaccines. I can't help but wonder with concern why some people don't vaccinate. I guess its not my place to wonder though. Till next time!

Our daughter made her entrance into this world on 8/9/2010. Labor went well and hurt like heck, but I got thru it and things turned out wonderful. I remember saying right after I had her "I am so glad that's over". I had her in two pushes; that's how bad I wanted it to be over. I ended up having Jared, my mom, and his mom in the room and gratefully had Dr. Baca who I absolutely adore. I know it sounds weird but I'm slightly missing being pregnant, but happier that my little sweetie is finally here. We are so thankful and blessed and can't believe our little family started with just us two and has now doubled in size. Crazy how quickly things happen. We couldn't be happier!

Jared and I just killing time while I was having contractions, we were at the hospital for my induction at 7:15. The day suprisingly went by so fast. Jared was making me walk around everywhere and at the time I was annoyed, but so glad he made me becuase things went by faster and smoother.

I want to thank everyone that came up and called throughout the whole process and let them all know that I love them and am thankful for them. I especially want to thank my mom, Mari and Megan for their help with Kade. I know he was a little scared to leave me at the hospibal (as he calls it) and wanted his mommy very much and I know that he had good comfort and reassurance from these three gals and I love you girls very much for you being with my other baby while I was with little miss Taylor. Just talking about this makes me excited to see what the next birthing experience will be like. Can I just say that I had the absolute best Doctor in the world (and yes I really do believe that) and the most sweetest amazing nurse that helped me in more ways then she will ever know. I love that my babies were born in Durango, CO and that the first hands to touch them were by Dr. Baca. I just admire her so much and love her to pieces. I have never in my life met such a more calming and beautiful person.

My wonderful Nurse Janet who was from South Africa had the coolest accent. Funny story, when I was feeling the baby come down it was a state of panic and she ringed the front to call for Betty (Dr. Baca) and they couldn't understand her accent (I myself thought she was yelling BABY) and she so frantically screamed BETTY (coolest accent). I will never forget the sound of that.

What a wonderful day I will remember forever. Till next time we have another baby!!! OR will we? HMMMMM. Guess that will be up to God!

39 Weeks Pregnant

Pregnancy is coming to an end, and I feel anxious and excited and also scared. We go in tomorrow at 7:15 so that I can be induced 3 days before my due date. Many people wonder why I do this and it is all because I want Dr. Baca. I feel most comfortable with her and wouldn't want to have a doctor that I don't feel comfortable with, especially going through labor. Plus, things go by much better planned when having a 2 year old. I am gonna miss Kade so much which is why I am anticipating to get out on Tuesday by noon to be home with him just like we did when he was born. I was ready to be home. I feel a little overwhelmed because of all the people that want to come up, and I know I should be grateful and believe me I am, but a big part of me just wants my little family for the night and to stare at our new beautiful baby and enjoy all that (plus get the hang of breastfeeding). I know there are a lot of people that are also anticipating her arrival and I don't want to keep them from that either. Bottom line I should be grateful at all the people wanting to celebrate our joy, and I am. Just a lot of emotions I imagine that any woman would be feeling at a time like this. I'm very ready though for all that lies ahead of us.

Last night Jared and I went on a date one last time before we have to find a sitter for 2. We had a wonderful dinner and then went and saw a movie that I completely did not understand. Finally we went and got Kade from Jared's parents house and we let him sleep with us, it was a little treat for him since he is always asking and also a way for me to take in the last night to have only one child in our home and get some cuddles in with my baby. I can't believe I'm gonna have 2 babies. I feel so blessed and thankful that God has not only blessed me with one beautiful baby, but now two. Well enough of my jabbering. Oh I hope it doesn't hurt too bad, but I'm sure it will. I know what to expect this time, so I guess that is where all my nerves are coming from. Well here's to Taylor's birthday being on 8-9-10....Wish me luck!!!

27th Birthday, No HAPPY!

Yesterday was my 27th Birthday and it was terrible. I shouldn't say that so clearly, it was until the evening I guess I would say. One of my good friends passed away from a horrible infection on her brain. Someone may wonder why I want to remember this, but I think it's important to speak about the heartache as well, because after all it is part of life. I woke up with a terrible feeling in my stomach because we all knew she was sick and then the day just got worse. I feel for the family, but also want to mention how much we love them and we are here for them. I felt such a strong connection to my friend for a couple reasons (one was that we were both pregnant at the same time) and now sharing her death with the day of my birth made me that much closer to her. I know God has a plan for all of us and I know she is in God's hands and there is no better place to be.
However I do want to mention that I got to celebrate my birthday on Sat. at the house with great friends and family and I thank my cute hubby for doing that for me and for everything else he does. Last night we were going to go to Durango for dinner, but my spirits were really low and I wasn't in the mood so some friends came by and had pizza and cake instead. I miss my friend and I am so happy that we became close before her departure. She will always be in my prayers!!! Here's to turning 27 on the 27th. Cheers....

The other day a package came to the house and I was instructed not to go near it becuase it was probably my birthday present so I stayed clear, after all who wants to ruin a suprise for themselves. Well he tricked me, it turned out to be a gift he had ordered for me to have at my baby shower, but it wasn't able to make it in time, so I got to open it that day. He got me a gorgeous diaper bag and I love it. Thank you baby your such a sweetheart and I love you for thinking of me and doing thoughtful things like you do. Your a good husband!

Jessica (photographer) came over for a 2 hour photo shoot at my house to capture my pregnancy before this baby comes. It was such a fun and pleasant experience and she did a great job. Kade wanted in on the action and I'm glad he was into it. Seeing the pictures of Kade and I made me feel so proud of the little family Jared and I have created together. It's cool knowing that neither one of us could have done it without the other, I love that we did this together. I love my family so much and I hope my little Taylor and Kadders will look back in appreciation of how my body helped create them as humans. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing and I am so thankful for the fact that I am able to experience such a powerful thing that only a woman can do. God is amazing!

Saturday my mom, a good family friend Debbie, and my best friend Megan threw me a baby shower. Everything was so perfect and I'm so thankful to everyone that came. I love my family and friends so much and I don't know what I would do without them. The theme was a tea party and it was so cute. It was small and intimate and I loved every second of it. Thank you ladies for a wonderful time and for thinking of me and making me always feel special. I love you all and everyone that came. I'm so excited to welcome Taylor into this world and celebrating that made it all so real!

Friday was Jared’s 27th Birthday. I don’t know why, but while I was cutting the watermelon and washing the grapes for the small backyard party I threw for him (happy our yard is done so we can do things like this) I couldn't’t help but tear up at the thought that I would thank everyone for coming in celebration of Jared (Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones, who knows). Jared is such an amazing guy, and those words don’t even describe the true meaning of him. I really do feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my husband. I was sitting there processing thoughts of all that we have been through and couldn't’t help but think this is the 5th birthday I am doing for him as my man. I love everything about him and look forward to celebrating all his future birthdays with him. Some of the greatest things about Jared are his good work ethic, he’s funny, contagiously charming, honest, thoughtful, extremely handsome, strong, wonderful father, terrific friend and motivates me to want to be better each and everyday. I love him so much and am so thankful for him always and always. Love you baby, and thanks to all our family and friends that came, we love you all!

4th of July Weekend

This past weekend we headed to Silverton for a 4 day camping trip with our camper and Teryx in tow. Jared pulled the camper with my Yukon and I pulled the Teryx in Jared's truck. Jared insisted Kade ride with him so I wouldn't get distracted because it was my very first time pulling the trailer such long distance. He was pretty nervous, but I think I handled that puppy like a champ if I do say so myself, except for the little time I almost took out the pole at the bottom of the hill when you turn left into Durango, its ok though, because I didn't. Can I just say though that this weekend was very eventful and to make a long long story shorter I will just point out the highlights. Friday we saw a Mama Cub and a baby Cub, which was awesome, I don't think I had ever seen a bear before. Friday night however wasn't as fun, we almost had to go to the emergency room in Durango, at midnight because after getting Kade ready for bed and picking him up by his arms (bad idea) I believe I popped his left arm out of socket and he couldn't move it, but the lovely volunteers a the fire station in Silverton (they don't have an ER) eased my mind and said things looked fine and after a most precious blessing from my father in law Kade was 1000% the next day without even mentioning his arm. Saturday we went for a 5 hour ride in the mountains which is so fun, but after all the bumps I was getting a little concerned that Taylor might think I was trying to scare her so Jared took me back to camp for a little nap, Sunday we went to the Silverton parade, which actually was cute and did some tourist shopping and then went back that night for the fireworks, which Kade was surprisingly not that interested in (Bummer). They say Silverton has the best firework show on the Western Slope and I think they might be right. There were a couple more random things that happened that concerned me like this lady getting plowed by a moose not to far from our camp and our friends down the way getting Carbon Monoxide poisoning, it was pretty scary because that is serious stuff. So get your detectors checked and if you don't have one, get one. All in all it was a blast and I hope we can make this a tradition. Kade loved every minute of it and I couldn't help but think that next year if we go I will have my little darling with us as well and she will almost be 1. Guess we do need to upgrade our camper, our family is growing and I couldn't be happier about it.

Class Reunion 2010

This weekend was very eventful, Jared had his 10 year class reunion even though it has been 9 years. The reason for this was because they combined the graduating class of 2000 and 2001. It was a reminder to me of how fast life goes by and also a reminder to not take anything for granted. If someone were to ask me my senior year where I would be I would have never imagined I would be where I'm at now. I am so thankful for my family and wouldn't be the person I am without them. Jared and I met in 8th grade when he moved here from Bloomfield and were boyfriend and girlfriend for about a week and since then have been in each other's lives. I can honeslty say that one of my dreams came true the day we married, because I had prayed for that moment over and over and over my senior year. I know that God works in mysterious ways and had us go through the things we've gone through all in preparation for our marriage. I love him very much and am so thankful to have almost two precious and beautiful babies with him and would never ever have it any other way.
Seeing everyone and what they have been up to was great, but it also felt nice to share our story as well and made me very proud of where we are, so for that I am thankful.
Friday night was a cocktail hour and that was the first night to see everyone, Saturday was a family day at the park and that was especially neat because we got to see who had children and see them in the light of being a parent, and finally Saturday night was a dinner and dance which was fun and gave us more time to catch up with everyone. Overall this whole weekend was surreal and put some things a little bit more into perspective for me.

Moab, UT 2010

I know I am a little late on posting this, but I couldn't skip it. A couple of weekends ago we went to Moab with Jared's parents and his little sister and we had such a wonderful time. We stayed in their 5th wheel at this great park that had full hookups which was very convenient if I do say so myself. We met some of Jared's mom's family there from Utah and they were great company, I am so glad we went. I was a little worried the heat was going to get to me, but we couldn't have picked a better weekend to go because it was overcast, but the weekend wouldn't have been the same without the weather. It made it that much better. We rode our Teryx (Jared's pride), ate lots of food, had Popsicles in the rain, played cards inside, laughed a lot, ate at great restaurants, swam, and got rained out more than once. I didn't get to take as many pictures as I should have, but I got a few. I hope to go again soon, it was a very fun time.

31 Weeks

I am now 31 weeks pregnant and getting anxious by the weeks to meet my baby girl. I have noticed that with this pregnancy I find it harder and I can't help but think it's because she is a she. My pregnancy with Kade was amazing, I felt the best I had ever felt in my entire life. I think that it was the male hormones I was producing to carry a boy, because if you think about it boys or Men are so much more laid back then girls or Women are. I feel like females stress more, but that might be due to the fact that we take on more. I also find myself worrying a lot with this baby, like about me and my health. I don't know if it's because I am soon going to have two little souls to take care of that I want to be the best and healthiest I can be to live a long life because I know my babies need me and I want to be with them forever. Who knows, I am hoping I can grasp onto something that will convince me that God will take care of all that, but it's a thought I cannot get far from. I always want to be there for my children because they are the most important things to me in this entire Universe and no one will ever understand how much I love them. I know we all love our families so much, I'm not taking that away from anyone, but I am just speaking about myself and my situation. I want to feel overwhelmingly happy when she gets here and I know I will, but for now I need to get rid of my worries and completely have faith and trust that God knows my plan and that it is fit for just Crystal. Taylor I promise you and mommy will be forever best friends and I can't wait to hold your little soul in my hands and I am so thankful for the privelage to have you as my daughter. Your not even here yet and my connection with you is stronger than you will ever know. I promise to protect you and Kade and give you both the best possible life I can give you.

My mom turned another year older and she looks amazing. We did a small dinner over here at our house for her this evening. I made enchiladas which turned out great, we had Spanish rice and a salad. I also made a boxed cake, I figured that meant more than just buying one. Everything turned out great and I'm very thankful for my family. I just want to say Happy Birthday and thank you for being the mother you are. You are so wonderful and I love everything about you. If I had to pick a few of my favorite things about you they would be your strength, your fun-ness, your givingness, your beauty and your love. You are and have always been my rock and I love you more than you will ever know. Thanks for all you do and I hope I look half as good as you do when I'm your age. Your so beautiful inside and out.

Last Thursday we met with a lovely lady named Jessica to take our pictures and I must say I am very happy with them. Our original intention was to just get Kade's 2 year old pictures done which I hope I can keep the tradition of doing every year, but we figured why not get a couple family one's done while we were at it. Jessica had the great idea of doing it out at Kirby Orchard and it was a great idea indeed. I want to add how great she was with Kade and we loved her personality so much, so if your looking let me know, she is wonderful. It's been a long time since I met such a sweet and genuine person and I'm happy we had the pleasure of working with her. I hope to take more pictures with her in the future. Birthday Party!

I know this is the third post about Kade's birthday, but it was just that way this year. We wanted to make sure he knows how special he is and we couldn't think of a better way then celebrating his 2nd year of life. He loved his birthday this year. First off I want to start by thanking my mother-in-law for helping me get his party ready and also for letting us have it at their house. We love you so much and I don't know if I could have done it without her. Also thank you to everyone that came and for all the great gifts you got in thinking of our baby. We love you Kade and I hope I documented this enough so you can look back and the fun times we always shared together. We had a spongebob come to do magic and had a face painter on the side that the kids loved. Kade got so many gifts, but his most favorite gift was from me and Jared and that was his Kawi. He was so pumped and I cried when I walked him over to it because we had it hidden in our garage for at least a month and that is all he had been saying he wanted for his birthday so of course I teared up when it was time to give it to him. All in all it was a day we won't forget and I am so thankful for all our friends and family. We love everyone so much. Thank you for celebrating Kade with us.

Kade's Birthday was on a Wednesday this year and even though we had a big party planned for the following Saturday, I still had to do something for my little man. We had close family over for tacos, cake and some gifts he could open. My mom however wasn't able to be there because she was in Mexico with her mom so we missed her very much.

My baby was so funny, he loved it when we sang happy birthday to him that he made us sing it to him twice, it was the cutest thing.

Jared's parents got Kade a bike, and boy was he pumped. My baby is getting so big!

Thank you everyone for the gifts and the help in preparing food. We love our family and friends so much and we don't know how we would do it without each and every one of you.

Well last week my baby Kade turned 2 on the 12Th. He was so happy that he turned 2 and all we talked about for the past 2 weeks was his party we had for him on the 15Th. Before I take the time to talk about the party and post pictures I just wanna talk about this little human that has made my life the happiest it has ever been. He is so smart and so loving and I can't ever imagine my life without my little guy. I love you Kade, you are truly the best little 2 year old. Happy 2ND Birthday to you, my baby boy!

Here are some of your two year milestones and special things you do. First off you are so smart, you speak so clearly and put sentences together like I have never seen before (I can't help but think you get your ease of learning from your papa Wil). You are potty trained which makes me very happy and makes our lives easier so thank you for that, you love to eat and love your juice, you love to always ask me and daddy every night to sleep in "mommy's bed", you love to ride on daddy's Kawi, you love to be silly and dance, you love to make up stories, your the best little sharer I have ever seen, you have the cutest smile (makes me and daddy laugh), you love to go outside all the time, you always get so excited when we go to Red Lobster, you always ask me if I'm happy, you insist to have a kiss from me or daddy while one of us is taking a shower so that we have to poke our head out, you love to attempt your somersaults, you don't like to go to the babysitter anymore (which makes me sad to go to work), you love your mimi, papa, and nena so much, you love your cars and you tell me you love your cars, you always kiss my belly and tell baby sissy you love her, you always fold your arms while you are on the pot and begin praying which is the most incredible, sweetest thing you do, you, daddy and I have our little saying "I wuv you so much", you always tell me when you pass gas, which is also the cutest thing, even if we are at dad's softball games where there are tons of people. All in all baby you are so unbelievable and you do so many things each day that amaze me and I never want to be without you, you are my world. I love you forever and ever!!!!

Recently things have been a little crazy, and I have a feeling they are only going to get crazier. I have been in the process of trying to decide how to do my baby girl's room and I am being so indecisive. I am so excited about having a little hita mijita that I can't stand it and for so long I would always look at the amazing cuteness of girl things and now when it comes down to actually having to pick I am realizing there are just too many darn choices. That's ok though! I know I want to do white furniture so I am in the process of trying to find a good deal and then I am torn between a couple bedding sets that I like. My whole thing from the beginning when I found out I was having a girl is that I didn't want to go to girly with her room becuase she herself is going to be decked out in girly stuff as it is. (I can't wait) So I have been trying to swing that.
On the other side of things I am planning my babies 2nd birthday party in spongebob (his absolute favorite) and that has been a whirlwind in itself. I try to make things as perfect as I know how and that makes things more stressful. To top things off we have been potty training Kade for the past couple weeks and he is doing great, I am so proud of him. I am trying to avoid having two kiddos in diapers, and so far so good.
All in all my complaints are nothing and I wouldn't trade my little stressors for anyone else's. I am always thankful for my babies and my husband that I love to pieces. He makes me wanna be a better person and I love him more today than I did yesterday.

Easter 2010

Easter was bittersweet. Sweet because it was Easter and we all know what that day represents; fun for the kids; and some family time. Bitter because Kade started with Fever and still has it 4 days later. Double ear infection not fun. I want my baby to feel better so bad so we are going to the Dr. today for another checkup.

Overall the day was great. We went to church, lunch with my parents, and finished off with a nice dinner and Easter egg hunt for the kids at Jared's parent's house and I was so excited that my mom joined us for that also.

We feel so blessed and thankful for our lives which includes, our babies, our house, our friends, our jobs, our family, our health and so much more including our #1 and that is God.

IT'S A........

So yesterday (Good Friday) was very emotional and very long. I have literally been waiting for this day since the day I found out I was pregnant. Well Jared's mom and my mom came over early morning so we could all head to Durango. It was important for us to have the both of them there and they were happy to tag along for the ultrasound.

Before I continue further with my story I want to add that I never told anyone but my husband and a close friend of mine that my motherly instinct believed that I was carrying a girl. I didn't want to tell too many people that because if I was wrong I just didn't want my motherly instinct to be off.

Well we got to the Dr. 10 minutes before our appointment and they immediately took us back and I was shaking. The reason for this is because I wanted the baby to be healthy. We all got in the dark room and my nerves were boiling. The US technician immediately asked me if we wanted to know what we were having and I said "absolutely." So she went on to measure heart rate, which was 151 (she said sounds like a girl), I thought don't get your hopes up Crystal. About 3 more minutes into it she asked if we were ready to know and I looked at my family and looked back and said "YES". She pointed the US to the good parts on the baby and you could see it CLEAR AS DAY. GIRL!!!! We all began to gasp and cry and I was very happy to share that moment with my mom, she gave me the biggest hug that I will never forget. I just want to jump out of my skin so bad right now, we are so happy and she is perfect and beautiful. She weighs 12 oz. and seems to look like Kade. I can't wait to kiss her beautiful little lips. And all my prays paid off with her being healthy. Thank you God.

I believe my daddy had everything to do with it. I miss you dad so much and wish so badly I could call you to tell you the amazing news, but I know he already knows and he will be with my kids always. He was the greatest father, and I miss him more than anyone could imagine. That is why her name will be TAYLOR after my beautiful father Wil Taylor (also my maiden name). Thank you baby (Jared) for letting me name her this. I love you so much and we did it again. Another beautiful baby!!!! And yes it was a GOOD FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bye Bye Binky!

I am so happy to talk about this I can't hardly stand it. Let me first start off by expressing how proud of my son I am and always have been. He is the most amazing little boy I have ever met and I love him more than anyone could ever imagine. Just writing that brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart with so much love.

If anyone knows Kade they know he loves his Binky. It is a very big comfort for him and for a while now Jared and I have had many short conversations wondering how we would ever tear him away from this tiny thing. Well the other day I made the executive decision to try and wean him off of it for 2 reasons. A: He's going to be 2 and in my opinion he needs to be off of it by his 2ND birthday and B: I'm going to have another wonderful blessing come into our lives in August and I don't want two children with binky's (that is if we decide to pop one in our baby's mouth).

I have been so worried and stressed about this day, but it came. March 15Th was the last and final day Kade had his binky. (I don't know why I'm crying). Could be in part that this makes him a step closer to being bigger than he already is and also because I know how much he loved it.

Overall it was the easiest transition and for that I am so unbelievably proud of him. I read that it would be hell for the first few nights and I shouldn't be surprised that with Kade it wasn't at all. Call it silly that I am being so dramatic about the whole thing, but it meant something very special to him and it hurt a little to take it away. I had been telling him for a couple weeks that the new baby would be here soon and that we were going to throw it away because the baby would need one too. So when I told him it was in the trash and he didn't need it because he was a big boy he said "Ok Mommy", just like that. He is the easiest, most lovable, smartest little guy I have ever came across.

Kade your mommy loves you more than anything. I would do anything for you and I always hope that you know that. Your truly one of a kind. Your the best Monkey!

Our Weekend!

Well Friday came along very fast for me this past week which isn't a bad thing. Too bad I woke up with a sore throat and looked back there because I have had a cold for a week and half already and saw a white little bumb on the back of my throat and thought for sure I had Strep. So I called the Dr. and made and appt. Turns out it wasn't Strep, thank goodness! Cute thing though, when I was getting ready to head to the Dr. Kade fell asleep right in front of the shower, because the cute little guy can't stand to be in a different room than his mom. I have to post this because Jared's mom said that Jared would be running around when he was little and then all the sudden she wouldn't hear him anymore and find him in the hallway or some weird place sleeping like this....

Friday night we went bowling for a friend's Birthday which was fun, but pretty sure my score sucked that night. Jared however got 4 strikes in a row, he was pretty pumped!

How many boys does it take to put the names on the screen? More than what you see!!!!

Saturday night we had yet another birthday party to attend and it was a Fear Factor theme which was pretty neat, but left me no choice to not participate. If you know me you know that I am one of the worlds pickiest eaters out there, so there as no way in you know what that I was going to willingly eat something without knowing what it was. NO WAY!! Jared however ate dog food, 4 huge dirt worms without chewing them, stuck his hand in a box with crickets; and dead fish. He also had to transfer liver from one box to another. All in all it was crazy and funny to watch and Jared and Chris won the final prize which was some gift cards. So I won without having to play. Marriage rules are great...What's his is mine, right?

Sunday Jared, Kade and I went to IHOP, went to Best Buy and bought a blue ray and lounged all day watchin a great movie, finally in the evening we went to dinner at my mom's. It was a wonderful weekend and I loved every minute of it. I love my family so much and love my friends dearly.

Quick note: We find out the sex of our baby on April 2nd. I cannot wait. I pray that everything goes good because if you have ever had a baby you know that not only at your 20 weeks ultrasound they check the heart and the brain. I pray for a very healthy baby, I don't care what the sex turns out to be.
